Is Sina compliant with Canadian and U.S. privacy laws?
Yes. Sina is PHIPA-compliant in Ontario, HIPAA-compliant in the U.S., and SOC 2 Type II certified. Audio is processed and immediately discarded; transcripts are stored encrypted with Canadian data residency by default. A BAA is available directly from your account settings.
Which note formats does Sina support?
Out of the box: SOAP, H&P, consult, progress, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, PIE, intake, discharge summaries, procedure notes, and specialty assessments. You can also build custom templates—Sina learns your phrasing over time.
Will Sina work in my specialty?
Sina supports providers across outpatient and inpatient settings—family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, acute care, mental health, allied health, and more. Use it for solo visits, family or caregiver-present encounters, telehealth, and other multi-speaker workflows.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes. Sign up, choose your default note format, and generate your first note. There's no EHR change required, and no credit card for the trial.
Is my session data used to train AI models?
Never. Your sessions, transcripts, and notes are never used to train any model, ours or third party. You can verify this in writing in our BAA and privacy policy.
What about patient consent?
We provide a consent template and encounter prompts. Sina only begins capturing after the patient has agreed, and they can withdraw consent at any time during the visit.
